Teen Internship Program
The Urban Syndicate is a not for profit program for teens sponsored by A New Dawn. The program takes a holistic approach to teaching entrepreneurship, video production, and success skills.
- Video Production offers an opportunity to nurture their artistic abilities and teach teamwork.
- Entrepreneurship teaches basic business skills, leadership, innovative thinking, negotiations, et al.
- The Success Skills curriculum was developed by a high school teacher and focuses on critical self-assessment and analysis of the reasons behind our actions.
- These 3 modules create the whole program which is geared towards preparing youth for a 4-year college degree and a successful life.
At Risk Teen Program

The Urban Syndicate is an internship for teens. The goals and objectives are to help accelerate the academic achievement of our youth. We will do this by exposing and challenging them to develop their skills in a fun and exciting environment. The three modules, entrepreneurship, video production, success skills, are designed to teach practical skills that will also help strengthen their command of writing, and communication, math, social studies/political science, accounting, etc. The program will foster not only academic growth, but also emotional growth as they learn to work as a team to build and produce successful projects. Lastly, our goal is to guide and help prepare interns for the successful completion of a 4-year college degree program.
